Designer

A super book designer opportunity has come up with a trade publisher and we’re looking for a talented Book Designer to report to the Senior Designer and join a talented design team.

You’ll be working on a varied mix of commercial Pop Culture, Film & TV and Illustrated Art books.   

If you are looking for a career move and the opportunity to work on high-end books with a strong visual appeal and manage your projects from cover to interior right to ready-to-print stage, then this opening could be for you.

You’ll also have the chance to deputise for the Senior Designer, acting as a point of contact and problem-solver to illustrators, authors and the in-house team.

Ideally, you’ll have at least 3-4 years’ design experience in book publishing, advanced practical knowledge of Adobe Suite, excellent organisational skills and a desire to work in a commercial book publishing environment. Knowledge of trends in the pop-culture and art books markets is desirable too.
