An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Designer to join a world renowned publisher of education and learning materials. This role will be full-time, with some attendance required at the Andover office in Hampshire (circa 2 days per fortnight), and the rest of the time working from home. As Designer your main remit will be to bring concepts to life, cultivating a bond between customers and brand, you will take on design briefs and transform them into intuitive, accessible, and high-end visual solutions, placing the company's education products at the forefront of the industry, while ensuring the final visual solution achieves internal and external requirements. As Designer you will collaborate with colleagues throughout the solution design process and oversee design execution of core and ancillary educational print products and digital user experiences. Projects may also include design for packaging, media labels, web sites, apps, and graphical user interfaces, as well as contributing to the direction of commissioned photography, and illustration/infographics. This position also provides design direction to vendors and performs hands-on art direction during live development.
The ideal Designer will have a Graphic Design degree, or equivalent, and have solid work experience within graphic design and art direction preferably within the publishing industry or a related, relevant sector. You will need to be competent in Macintosh OS, html, CSS, Microsoft office, and with high proficiency in Adobe CC suite.
