Designer

Our client, a well-established trade publisher of fiction and non-fiction books, has a highly creative, new opportunity for a Designer to join their creative team of a leading children's imprint. You will be designing a range of pre-school front list books and special editions. The role is full-time, offering a competitive salary and hybrid working options (min. 2 days a week in the London office). The role will be reporting to the Art Director.

The role's responsibilities will include:

  • Handling your design projects according to deadlines and budgets
  • Managing illustrators, photographers and supporting other members in the team
  • Liaising with the Sales team and creating materials of front and back list titles for sales and marketing purposes
  • Working with the Production team to finalise the dummy process

You will be someone who has been in a Designer role in children's publishing and is looking to develop their career further within an exciting company. You will need to be proficient in applications such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Being highly organised and having strong time management and verbal/oral communication skills will also be ideal for the role.
