Designer

Our client is a world leading professional institution producing content to encourage a broader understanding of global economics and geopolitics. We are currently recruiting a Graphic Designer to join them starting ASAP until mid-December on a hybrid working pattern 2 days a week in the Central London office, and 3 days from home. We are looking for someone available for an immediate start so please do get in touch asap! This role will operate on a day rate where you will invoice the client directly, they are happy to pay a rate of £250 - £300 a day.

The Graphic Designer role is a result of backlog of work within the team at the moment, they are looking for someone with strong editorial layout design skills using primarily InDesign and lllustrator, paying a close attention to detail to the typesetting of text, widows and orphans, footnotes etc. As these are largely academic titles, there is also creativity in the form of data visualisation, the Graphic Designer will be required to take data from an Excel file and turn this into an infographic.

Primarily, it is most important that the successful candidate has experience in the graphic design and layout of text, experience using InDesign and Illustrator. Any additional experience in using Excel, creating data focused infographics or data visualisation would be a significant advantage. Any additional experience in illustration would also be an advantage as would an interest in the subject matter.
