Designer – Children’s Publishing

We are looking for a talented designer ready to take the next step in their publishing career. A leading book publisher based in the South West has a position available on their popular Children’s list. This is a highly creative and fast-paced role.

Key duties:

• Work on a list of titles from concept to publication
• Create strong and fresh designs, layouts, and typography
• Design covers and inside spreads for a range of titles
• Maintain an awareness of children’s media and product beyond books, such as toys and games
• Propose new format ideas and innovative content

Experience / skills required:

• You will have proven in-house design experience
• Experience of working on children’s book product is highly desired
• You will be creative and have a portfolio full of ideas
• You will be comfortable working on several projects at once
• Experience with industry standard software (Adobe Creative Suite) is required for this role
