Desk Editor

We have a fantastic editorial opportunity within a special interest imprint of a leading independent publisher. Our client is looking for a highly organised candidate to join their Oxford team as a Desk Editor and manage a wide list of titles with a positive and can-do attitude.

In this role, you will be mainly responsible for:

·Manage editorial projects from manuscript to publication, working across different formats, including hardback, illustrated titles, and paperback
·Coordinate freelance commissioning editors and act as the main point of contact for external collaborations
·Liaise with a team of commissioning editors, and the Sales, Marketing, Production and Design departments to ensure titles are being followed through every aspect of publication and that processes are running smoothly

We are looking for candidates who can manage their time and workload efficiently, and who can demonstrate good copy-editing and proofreading skills. Experience with budget management and editorial duties would be a strong advantage.
