Our client is a highly regarded professional association for the legal sector based in the City of London. They are now seeking an Development Coordinator to join their team, responsible for identifying and securing external funding for their human rights division.
The Development Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Donor research and liaison - responsible for the research, design and coordination of approaches to potential donors
- Programme design and programme writing
- Coordinating team wide fund-raising work, including briefing the programme team on new funding and prospects, keeping accurate records of approaches and communications
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of preparing high quality technical proposals to potential donors, winning awards from trusts and foundations or securing donations from major donors or corporate funders. Experience in grant writing is essential, as well as some project administration experience in the NGO / charitable sector. Experience of the donor landscape, ideally within the field of human rights would be an advantage. In addition, exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills will be crucial to the success of the Development Coordinator position.
