Development Editor

The Development Editor works collaboratively with authors and colleagues to create high-quality textbooks, which meet the needs of students and their lecturers. The role involves working creatively with authors (to produce the right coverage, tone and features to support teaching and learning) and with colleagues -to understand the market and create strategic publishing plans for the book. Creating a targeted development plan for each book including any supporting digital resources. Communicating with authors throughout the writing process. Researching the market to inform publishing plans and strategy.
