Digital Development Editor

Our client is home of one of the biggest medical communities across the UK and is also a provider of medical education, CPD for doctors and medical information and communication. Their head office is based in Oxfordshire and they are now looking to hire a Digital Development Editor. While the role demands for some office working, we would welcome applicants outside of Oxfordshire to apply who could travel to the office occasionally.

This role will be responsible for commissioning medical educational content from medical professionals. Then project managing this content through the peer review process before putting it through the editorial process. The company is looking for someone who is ideally passionate about medical education, someone who is aware of the latest trends and innovations in medical education. Someone who is interested not just in the editorial process but also content strategy to make the content they are delivering the most relevant and innovative that they can.

Applicants will ideally have a medical or life sciences degree or appropriate equivalent editorial experience in a related subject. You will be able to demonstrate strong proficiency in writing and copy-editing and feel comfortable dealing with medical terminology. Candidates will have exceptional attention to detail, strong organisation and communication skills and an ability to work well to tight deadlines. Experience in medical publishing is highly desirable and those with experience in online learning will have a distinct advantage.
