Digital Editorial Assistant

Calm under pressure? Detail oriented? Highly organised? Passionate about Academic Publishing? This might be the perfect role for you. A leading global publisher is looking for an Editorial Assistant to join the team working on Law publishing. This role is based in their Oxford offices.

 

Key duties:

  • Act as an integral part of the Digital Development team working on develop and deliver digital products
  • Provide editorial and administrative support to the team
  • Assist with the coordination of content passing from editorial teams through various stages of production
  • Load data to relevant systems, edit and manipulate that data within the system and output datasets/samples as required.
  • Process payment requests through internal systems to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Answer queries from, and assist, a number of external editorial teams and authors

Experience / skills required:

  • First-class organisational and time management skills are essential
  • You will ideally have experience of working in an editorial environment
  • Experience of working with data and databases, preferably in a publishing environment, is highly desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience of dealing with business correspondence are essential
  • You will have a proven high level of computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A proven ability to work calmly and methodically under pressure is essential
