A national not-for-profit organisation is looking for a specialist in digital publishing to manage the development and production of their publications list. This role will also be directly involved in shaping the digital strategy of the company. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented publishing professional to join a small, friendly team in Hampshire and help shape the digital future of an organisation.

 

Key duties:

  • Digitise and maintain the back catalogue and new titles
  • Plan and manage production schedules of eBooks, apps, and other material
  • Co-ordinate external resources including designers, editors, proof-readers, authors and printers
  • Keep informed with all digital publishing developments and advise/consult on recommendations
  • Represent the organisation at trade shows, Book Fairs and other external events

Experience / skills required:

  • Proven digital publishing experience is required
  • Knowledge of digital publishing processes for various platforms is essential
  • Thorough understanding of traditional book production processes
  • Ability to multi-task and to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills at all levels
  • Knowledge of InDesign and other industry standard software is essential
