Editor

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for an enthusiastic and proactive Editor to join a professional B2B consultancy, based in London or Oxford. This role will report directly to the Editorial and Production Manager and is a full-time permanent role.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Proofreading and editing of all content outputs.

- Ensuring all materials are on brand and in the correct formatting with the correct templates being used.

- Responding to all staff queries on any editorial matters that may arise.

- Providing support and training.

- Assisting with the production of publications, including typesetting articles, circulating proofs and liaising with the marketing and business development team.

-Supporting the whole team, enhancing the value of the Editorial service and contributing to the development of new initiatives.

The ideal candidate for this role will be highly organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks. Great people skills and effective communication is key for this role, along with confidence when liaising with different levels of seniority. The successful candidate will have an excellent eye for detail and will be comfortable working independently and acting on their own initiative.

Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must for this role, as well as excellent knowledge of English grammar, spelling, punctuation and usage.

The business create business reports, publications and advice for their clients and the purpose of this role will be to ensure the outputs of the consultancy are well written, effectively presented, and comply with branding, house style and legal requirements. Previous experience of copy editing and proofreading within the professional sector is essential.

Knowledge of CMS and/or web-editing is an added bonus, as well as knowledge of one or more European languages. This role would be best suited to someone who has a general interest in current affairs and who is passionate about learning.
