We are looking for a talented and driven Editor to work for a highly respected London based scientific publisher. This is an ideal role for someone who is looking for an opportunity to drive the success of a newly launched journal and define the journal editorial programme and who has an interest in AI.
Some of the key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Content management and development
- Prepare and deliver appropriate article acquisition strategies to meet publication targets
- Checking incoming peer reviewed articles
- Identify key subject experts in centres of excellence of relevance to the journal
- Monitor progress of all on-going authors to company timeframes
- Monitor Editorial Board member activity
- Be the first point of contact for your journal

The successful person will be educated to degree level in a life science subject and will have proven experience of working with scientific journals in an editorial capacity. You will have a keen interest in scientific communication and outstanding organisation and writing skills. You will be a self-starter, confident, with the drive to succeed, and an interest in artificial intelligence and how it will impact medicine. As a creative thinker, you will have the ability to work quickly, under pressure and to deadlines. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is ready to embark on an exciting journey working with cutting-edge research and who is looking for a large degree of autonomy as there is a lot of scope to develop this role.
