Are you a first-class Editor with great copyediting and proofreading skills, with experience of editing large, information-rich publications?

Our client is a professional qualifications organisation and they are looking to recruit an experienced Editor to join their team where your responsibilities will include editing of technical documents, updating content for readability and to house style.  Day to day responsibilities will involve editing, typesetting and generally looking after a number of established products and services across their portfolio.

Further responsibilities will include:

• Creating and updating web pages using a content management system
• Ensuring new content for their online subscription channels is edited and processed to a high standard
• Liaising with external authors and internal staff members to ensure that material is received to schedule and agreed standard
• Ensuring published material is in line with house style and brand guidelines

This is a highly varied and responsible editorial role and the successful person will have demonstrable experience of editing and restructuring copy, ideally with experience of editing large information-rich publications. A strong command of Plain English and the ability to keep all aspects of the editorial and production process moving is essential, plus experience of using online content systems.  You will have experience of dealing with high-profile projects and authors and great copyediting and proofreading skills.
