Editor - Fiction (Crime, Thriller, SF)

A rare opportunity has come up with a market-leading trade publisher of licensed and pop culture books who have asked Think Selection to be the exclusive recruiter to find an Editor to join the team to acquire and edit a range of genre fiction books.

Reporting to the Managing Editor, your role is to acquire new fiction titles in the Crime, Thriller, SciFi and Horror genres, and you’ll project edit your acquired titles.

You’ll review submissions, present new projects internally and negotiate acquisitions with agents and authors. You’ll be the prime contact to your authors, brief designers and project edit your titles through to delivery.

The role will suit a books Editorial Assistant or Assistant Editor with knowledge and passion for these genres, looking to take their next career move by combining project editing with acquiring popular fiction books.

A good salary is on offer plus company benefits, and the company currently operates hybrid working of a minimum 2 days per week at their Central London offices.
