Editor- Licensing

A highly dynamic and versatile role of a Licensing Editor has opened up with our client, a global, leading publisher of children's books, to join their Licensing department. This position will focus on developing the print products from concept to delivery as well as managing all stages of the editorial process. The role is permanent, full-time and the client is offering hybrid working options (2 days a week in the London office).

You will be involved in:

  • Conceptualising and commissioning print products for the markets
  • Briefing authors and giving feedback to ensure a high quality product
  • Overseeing freelance agents (indexers, proofreaders, editors)
  • Managing the workflow, schedules and budgets of the editorial processes
  • Maintaining market awareness through trend research
  • Supplying sales materials for events (book launches, sales meetings)

You will need to have experience working as an Editor or Project Editor on highly illustrated books and/or children's titles. You will ideally enjoy working in a team and be a good communicator in written and verbal form. Strong time management skills and regular engagement with current brand trends will also be needed for this position.
