Editor - Maternity Cover

This is a fantastic 6 month contract opportunity in illustrated book publishing based either in London or Oxford!

The special interest imprints of a leading independent publisher is looking for an experienced Editor to cover an initial 6 month period. The successful candidate will be seeing illustrated titles through from handover of manuscript through to publication. The books range from standard-format and guides to large-format photographic collections, so experience of working with colour titles is required.

The successful candidate will be taking responsibility for a range of titles with tasks such as briefing editors and designers, working closely with the team and the authors and partners to produce the highest quality products. It is also important that these products meet a timely schedule and are within budgetary requirements. Liaison with stakeholders is a key aspect of this role, experience with InDesign and Photoshop will also be desirable, but if you have editorial experience and the ability to prioritise a demanding and varied workload then this could be a great role for you!
