Editorial Administrator
Do you have an STM administrative background? We have a new opportunity for an Editorial Administrator to join a leading Scientific Society. You will play a vital role in providing support to the publications team with a range of administrative responsibilities.
Key duties:
- Assist and organise editorial board meetings and conferences; including drafting paper and reports, minute taking, arranging venues, travel and accommodation
- Updating the website, submission system and information pages
- Select and promote content via social media and advertisements/info-graphics
- Support the publisher in preparing and compiling reports and journal statistics
- Administer the peer-review process for submitted manuscripts
- Assist the Communications Manager to write press releases and identify articles suitable for press release
- Investigate and log ethical issues related to the societies journals
- General administrative duties
Experience / skills required:
- Proven administrative experience, ideally within journals
- Degree educated preferably in life sciences or equivalent
- Experience in database and website updating/editing
- Adept at minute taking and meeting preparation
- Excellent computer literacy; Microsoft Office, Photoshop and/or InDesign
- Social media management
