Editorial and Content Officer
A health organisation based in central London is looking for an Editorial and Content Officer to support the organisation’s print and digital publishing programme. This an 11 month fixed term contract.
Key duties:
- Edit and proofread a wide range of publications and other materials, providing editorial feedback in an effective and diplomatic way
- Project manage individual publishing projects from initial author talks to publication, including taking responsibility for production process
- Commission and coordinate work from a range of freelancers and external suppliers, including briefing and ensuring quality of work
- Design and create a range of charts and infographics for use in print and online
- Champion the organisations house style guidelines, ensuring they are reflected in all publishing material
Experience / skills required:
- Solid editorial experience in a similar environment with understanding of production process
- Proven ability to understand and process complex information
- Experience commissioning and managing freelancers and external suppliers
- Strong knowledge of InDesign and Illustrator is essential
- Experience working to ever changing deadlines and priorities and excellent time management skills
