Editorial and Library Services Coordinator

A leading non-profit organisation is looking for an Editorial and Library Services Coordinator to join their busy publications team in Sheffield. This is a permanent full-time position and you will be responsible for managing a growing portfolio of books and journals.

Key duties:

  • Process library subscription orders, liaising with subscription agents and librarians globally
  • Lead annual subscription renewal campaigns and administer licensing documentation
  • Communicate with authors and handle queries about products, and assist librarians with access requests
  • Organise promotional activity with external journals and societies
  • Process payments and liaise with finance staff
  • Coordinate submission of author articles, carrying out admin checks
  • Collaborate with the publications team to ensure the smooth running of the peer review process

Experience / skills required:

  • Previous publishing experience is essential, ideally in a customer focused role
  • Prior experience of manuscript submission and finance systems would be advantageous
  • Experience using databases and a working knowledge of HTML/XML would be desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to strong IT skills
  • Solid team working and problem solving skills
  • Self motivation and the ability to act on your own initiative
