Editorial and Marketing Coordinator

Our client is an international scientific journal and book publisher with an impressive online learning programme which gives physicians and practitioners support in researching and treating various patient conditions. They are a not for profit and based in London.

They are now looking to hire a full time Editorial and Marketing Coordinator. You will support the Managing Director and Senior Publishing Manager on the online learning and book programme to commission, develop, publish and update titles. You will provide author support, and undertake promotional and marketing activities (including social media) for the book list, online courses, the journal, and the company in general.

Whilst the role will focus mainly on the editorial and marketing of the products, there will also be other adhoc and administrative tasks which this role will be responsible for.

We are looking for a really organised, proactive candidate with a can-do attitude.

Key skills:

  • Excellent administration skills
  • The ability to manage detailed processes successfully (e.g. copy checking)
  • Excellent communication skills - including the ability to write creative copy
  • An enthusiastic, creative, flexible, supportive and friendly approach
  • A results-oriented approach to promotion and marketing activities (e.g. driving direct sales)
  • Good Excel, database and Word skills
  • Skills in updating and managing a website content management system.
  • Be numerate and literate to a high standard.
