An exciting opportunity has arisen with an award-winning publisher of art, craft and textile books based in Kent for an Editorial Assistant to join their small, creative team.
The main purpose of the role is to provide editorial support to the Editors and will involve proofreading manuscripts as well as admin, organisation and scheduling of books from third parties.
Main Responsibilities :-
- Processing invoices and contracts
- Updating data software
- Organising internal and external meetings (including the bookfairs)
- Creating digital books
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience in publishing. As part of a small company, where almost everything is done in-house, the Editorial Assistant will have exposure to all aspects of the publishing process, giving them valuable insight into the industry. The successful candidate will have good visual sense and be willing to take on a range of duties and bring a positive and enthusiastic energy to the team.
