An excellent opportunity has arisen for a driven, curious and highly organised Editorial Assistant to join a leading academic publisher. The role will support a busy team and assist with the development of a history publishing programme. This role is partially based in Hampshire, with 1 day a week in the office, however will be based remotely initially.
The Editorial Assistant will sit within the Higher Education and Library Publishing team, where this role will provide editorial support, ensuring projects are delivered on time to budget. They will also work on new product development and research, sourcing and investigating historical content through online and physical catalogues, as well as supporting the team with creation of reports, clearing permissions, organising meetings and taking minutes, and other ad hoc administrative duties.
The ideal Editorial Assistant will have some experience of administrative, editorial or production work, and an interest in the humanities and academic publishing. You will be results driven, calm under pressure and confident when communicating with colleagues and customers.
