Editorial Assistant - Science Journals

Are you a scientific graduate looking for your first role within publishing? We have a fantastic not to be missed opportunity with a progressive and highly successful scientific publishing company, looking to recruit a science graduate to train as an Editorial Assistant. Based at their London office, you will be trained in the areas of drug evaluation, clinical trial protocol and pharma-sponsored research articles, making sure that all content is of high editorial quality and commissioned to deadlines.  This role is a full-time role and will be based in their London office. Full training will be given.

Key responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:

  • Commissioning of various relevant articles for your journals
  • Manage the publication process, including peer review and acceptance of commissioned papers
  • Manage article pipelines and ensure article quality
  • Attend medical conferences when required

The successful person will be educated to degree level in a relevant life science subject, with a passion for science and an interest in making a career within scientific publishing. You will be a confident team player, with excellent attention to detail and great organisation and time management skills. You should have a strong interest and desire to build your knowledge of relevant scientific subjects. Strong IT skills are essential as is the ability to work to deadlines.
