  • Utilizing spreadsheets and office systems to proactively anticipate missing or late invoices, author copies, payments and other book-related paperwork – and to chase these up accordingly
  • Helping to prepare and proofread editorial materials, such as for sales presentations and book fairs, and keying in proofreading changes
  • Taking minutes in meetings, including those with important external partners
  • Liaising across teams, departments and T&H’s international offices, as well as external parties, to assist with meeting goals and deadlines

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Superb organization and time management
  • Ability to be proactive, multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Experience of office and administrative work
  • Exceptional attention to detail and professionalism
  • Intermediate level of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and command of English spelling and grammar
  • Some commercial acumen and a desire to learn more about publishing
  • Copywriting and proofreading skills a bonus, with an appetite for deepening these skills
  • Familiarity with at least one foreign language a plus
  • An interest in both our Museum Publishing and our Architecture and Design lists
