Editorial Director (Primary/Secondary Education)

Do you have editorial experience leading teams to develop digital content for primary and secondary schools? An award winning STEM Edtech Publisher is looking for a strategic and innovative Editorial Director to head up the development and delivery of a new digital project. You will be managing the editorial team to deliver content that adheres to curriculum requirement with a focus on maintaining quality, standards alignment and coherence across all grade levels and product components. The role will start remotely and can be based in anywhere in the UK, but regular travel to their Glasgow office will be required.

Key duties:
•Lead on editorial strategy to develop content to excellent quality and curriculum requirements
•Conceptualizing and planning material, working closely with Product Managers to ensure work is completed according to schedule and budget
•Monitor trends and competitor products as well as best instructional practices related to education
•Review editorial work for coherence in content, pedagogy, and style

Experience / skills required:
•Solid editorial experience managing an editorial curriculum team
•Extensive content development/ editorial experience developing digital products for the primary or secondary school market
•An understanding of how video creation can provide active learning experiences
•Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with teams across the business to editorial deliver strategy
•Experience in teaching primary and/or lower secondary highly desirable
