A special interest imprint of a leading independent publisher based in Oxford is looking for an experienced Editorial Assistant or Editor ready for the next step in their career to project manage a range of books. The successful candidate will be seeing titles through from handover of manuscript through to publication. The books range from standard-format and guides to large-format photographic collections, so experience of working with both mono and colour titles is required.
The successful candidate will be taking responsibility for a range of titles with tasks such as briefing editors and designers as well as indexers, working closely with the team and the author to produce the highest quality products. It is also important that these products meet a timely schedule and are within budgetary requirements. Liaison with stakeholders is a key aspect of this role, as is keeping the database updated - experience with Biblio would be beneficial.
Experience with InDesign and Photoshop will also be desirable, but if you have editorial experience and the ability to prioritise a demanding and varied workload then this could be a great role for you!
For a full description of the role, please send your CV with a brief paragraph outlining your relevant skills.
Closing Date: Early applications may be prioritised.
