ELT Editor (Dubai)
Are you an experienced editor looking for a new challenge? Are you passionate about ELT and familiar with working in the Middle East? Due to a period of growth, a global educational publisher is looking to recruit a talented Editor to work on their ELT programme in the Gulf region. This role will be based in Dubai, with local travel across the region.
Key duties:
- Drive the publication of a range of custom and regional adaptations for EMEA markets
- Work closely with Ministry, Institutional, and University customers, to develop suitable products
- Research and develop written content for individual customised projects as required
- Ensure all material published is culturally sensitive and meets individual customer requirements
- Work across a range of projects, including customised Primary, Secondary and Adult materials
- Work with the UAE Sales team to identify new opportunities, reviewing potential changes required to make existing content market appropriate
Experience / skills required:
- You will have solid prior experience in Educational or ELT publishing
- Solid teaching experience working with ELT materials is essential
- A thorough understanding of culturally appropriate material for UAE regions is essential
- You will have excellent written and oral communication skills
- You must be self-motivated and pro-active with strong organisational skills
- Experience of teaching Maths and Science at Primary or Secondary level would be advantageous
