ELT Learning Designer

A globally recognised education organisation has a rare opportunity for a Learning Designer to join their English Language Teaching (ELT) publishing team. The role is UK based (hybrid or remote), and offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and the chance to grow a long lasting career in a prestigious international education organisation with a hugely rewarding mission.

Working alongside Head of Learning Design, Content Commissioning Editors and other stakeholders, you will lead on the design and development of the company's ELT learning products. As ELT Learning Designer your main remit will be to research, design and test new learning and assessment materials for pre-school, primary and/or secondary school age students, internationally. You will be the academic expert and pedagogical lead, responsible for the quality of design and assurance that new content meets the design and quality criteria and market needs, including plans for iteration. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the way students around the world learn English, and will have a direct impact on their learning outcomes through the rich and engaging educational products you design. Working closely with global product teams you will help to develop the company's position as a leading provider of high-quality ELT courses for both face-to-face and online teaching, and play a key role in contributing to the company's overall teaching and learning strategy.

With a background in designing / developing commercially successful, multi-component, multi-level ELT courses, the ideal ELT Learning Designer will have sound knowledge of the international ELT market, and a deep understanding of teacher and learner needs. The role might suit someone who is currently in an ELT content or curriculum development / instructional design / editorial role or similar, where you are leveraging your English Language Teaching experience (for pre-school, primary and/or secondary age students). Alongside ELT product development experience, and of researching, conceptualising, and testing innovative learning and assessment products (print and digital), you will have excellent communication, stakeholder management, organisation and presentation skills.
