ELT Managing Editor - Adult - Greece

We have a fantastic new role working for a non-profit international educational organisation, for an ELT Managing Editor.  This role is initially a 12 month fixed term contract, based in Athens, Greece, and will work with the global product development team.  Reporting to the Learning Content Development Manager, the ELT Managing Editor will be responsible for planning, commissioning, project managing and content developing a broad range of blended learning projects through all the stages of product development and renewals.

This is a key role in the team where you will work with internal and external stakeholders to scope/define and prioritise projects and lead projects for the development, maintenance and reiteration of Adult blended learning materials, ensuring they adhere to Brand guidelines. The role will also involve editing content, copy-editing and proofreading learning materials and will lead on the production of print, digital and media content.  The ELT Managing Editor will also ensure products that products are customer-focused and meet market and business requirements and will respond to any requests and issues raised by stakeholders.

You will build a team of external suppliers and manage the in-house content developers and project managers; task and coordinate external writers, editors, designers as required.  Further responsibilities will include developing a solid working knowledge of major developments and issues within the Adult ELT market and e-learning, to ensure learning materials are effective, as well as building professional credibility, confidence and market insight.

The successful person will have demonstrable experience in teaching English as a foreign language as well as a proven qualification. You will have experience working as a Content or Production Editor within educational publishing with a proven track record of product development.  You will also have experience of project managing the development of print and digital products through the full publishing process, as well as strong copyediting and proofreading skills with learning materials.

This position will be based in Athens, on a 12 month contract and candidates must be eligible to work in Greece.  The role carries an attractive salary and benefits.
