Executive Editor

A leading professional membership body is looking for an Executive Editor to work on their highly prestigious open access journals across a wide range of engineering and technology fields. This is a hybrid role, based two days a week in our clients' offices, a commutable distance from Central London. Internationally known and unique, this is a prestigious product to work on with a long heritage. You will develop and manage the portfolio, including direct line management of a team of 5 direct reports.

In this role you will:

• Manage, lead and develop the journals team, setting the overall portfolio and individual journal strategies to deliver on KPIs
• Look for opportunities to launch new journals, setting and implementing commissioning strategies for newly launched titles
• Work with the wider journal development and marketing teams on strategies to develop new content and to increase article submissions across the portfolio

This is a fascinating role for someone with experience working in professional or scientific journal publishing with strong leadership and management experience to contribute to the development and delivery of the Editorial Board strategy for this prestigious list of journals. The successful candidate will have experience with commissioning, superb analytical and digital skills - with a high level of digital literacy including the use of bibliographic databases.
