Editorial Assistant

The purpose of this role is to support Alex Bowler, Faber’s publisher. The editorial assistant’s responsibilities will include providing exceptional author care, maintaining bibliographic systems and metadata, providing administrative support, including diary management and processing expenses, assisting in logging, reading and responding to submissions, occasional proofreading and copy-checking, copy-writing and liaising with other departments.

The successful candidate will be extremely organised and have excellent people skills, an eye for detail, a flair for copy, and the ability to manage competing priorities. You will also love reading. Previous office experience is an advantage. Publishing experience is not a necessity.

This is a full-time position based in our London office.
