Field Sales Representative (trade)

Leading UK trade publisher seeks an experienced Field Sales Representative to manage their growing regional and independent account base covering the North, Midlands and Western regions of the UK.

You will be selling a range of mass market adult and childrens trade books to a wide trade account base. You’ll need excellent previous field sales experience selling to the UK trade markets. This role would suit a self-starter who is highly organised with the ability to open new accounts when possible.

Key duties include; achieving monthly sales targets as agreed with the Trade Sales Manager. Seek out and open new account opportunities. Positively represent the publisher in all your accounts. Build a monthly and bimonthly journey plan to ensure that all accounts are seen regularly. Monitor and analyse the business by account and by area. Carry out regular business reviews. Utilise telesales to compliment area coverage and react to new sales opportunities.

The Sales Representative role is to also carry out diligent compliance checks and feedback the results, share market information via regular feedback reports. Manage a positive relationship with all account staff. Be sensitive to the needs of each account and build a trusted relationship, be proactive in ensuring availability of key products in every account. Manage your CRM database of all customers.

Skills required include; at least 5 years previous experience in sales, excellent communication and personal organisation, great sales skills, computer Literate, be self-reliant and self-motivated with a positive mental attitude, with the ability and discipline to prioritise time and plan your workload.

You’ll need a clean current driving licence and willingness to work from home with London HQ visits as when required. The basic salary range for this position is attractive and comes with excellent bonus potential.
