Financial Controller

Our client is a leading B2B magazine publisher based in Central London, they are now seeking a Financial Controller to join their busy Finance Team. We are looking for a qualified accountant with experience reporting into the board to produce monthly accounts, filing annual accounts and providing budgets, P&Ls and analysis on company performance.

You will have a track record of delivering accurate accounts along with operational guidance and

leadership. Whilst heading up the finance and operations for the business you will also be able to demonstrate the ability to be hands on and transactional. You will have responsibility of managing 5 direct reports. Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing year-end accounts
• Producing UK and Overseas VAT returns, corporation tax returns and analysis
• Preparing budgets and overseeing the production of forecasts and monthly management accounts
• Maintaining and developing accounting systems, procedures and financial controls
• Provide day to day commercial advice to the Management team and Sector Heads
• Deputise for the Finance Director

The Financial Controller will have an Accountancy qualification with experience supporting Directors and sector heads across the business alongside solid experience creating and managing budgets.
