Foreign Rights Executive/Manager

A leading illustrated publisher in central London is looking for a Foreign Rights Executive/Manager to join their children's rights team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly team and maximize co-edition sales to the Southern markets.

Key duties:

  • Sell co-edition rights of illustrated children’s lists into the Southern markets
  • Maximise rights sales turnover and profit for agreed territories, reaching and exceeding sales targets
  • Research and identify prospective new customers and exploit potential for sales growth
  • Liaise with colleagues in production on pricing and schedules
  • Attend book fairs and undertake regular sales trips to allocated territories

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid foreign rights sales experience in the trade book publishing environment
  • Knowledge of the Southern market trade publishing market and an understanding of co-editions sales
  • Fluency in Spanish is essential
  • Determined, positive and commercial sales skills
  • First-class communication and negotiation skills and fluent written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel regularly
