Freelance Books Production Controller

A fantastic opportunity to join a trade publisher as a Production Controller in their London offices. You will be overseeing the production of children’s titles. This is a freelance role to start mid to end of October until the end of 2017. There is also a strong possibility that the role could go permanent for the right person. 

Key duties:

• Working on both new titles and reprints at various stages of the production process
• Manage print schedules and oversee the print process through to delivery and invoicing
• Creating print PDFs
• Liaising with suppliers (Far East and Europe)

Experience / skills required:

• 4 colour and mono books print production experience with Knowledge of safety testing an advantage
• InDesign and Adobe Acrobat
• Excellent project management skills and ability to problems solve
• Experience dealing with suppliers
• Knowledge of Biblio would be an advantage
