Fulfilment and Shipping Controller

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly meticulous and detail-orientated enthusiast to join a global illustrated book publisher in Central London. This role is for a competent individual with ambition to become an in-house shipping expert, publishing background is not essential for this role.

Key duties:

  • Manage sea freight booking-in sheet
  • Coordinate the safe and timely delivery of several hundred titles annually
  • Respond to general shipping enquiries
  • Troubleshoot and answer ad-hoc and often urgent queries
  • Organise seasonal stock transfer deliveries to the US
  • Oversee fulfilment of drop shipments to subsidiaries in Asia and Australia

Experience / skills required:

  • Proven supply chain management experience
  • Familiarity with Incoterms and shipping practices
  • Excellent problem solver and negotiation skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel in particular
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
