Group Export Sales Executive

An exciting sales opportunity has come up in a leading Children's book publisher, based in South West London. The client is looking for an efficient and enthusiastic Group Export Sales Executive for their busy Export team, reporting to the Group Export Sales Director.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Export Sales Director across territories including Southern / Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia. Key responsibilities will include: agreeing sales targets and working to achieve these; developing relationships with existing customers; market research in order to develop new business, and explore new sales opportunities; devise strategies for individual markets; liaise with customers on any promotions or special packages; meeting customers at book fairs and in territory; negotiating discounts and creating and submitting sales reports.

Proven sales experience in the publishing industry and an interest in children's books are a must, and previous experience in a Rights or Export Sales role is desirable but not essential. You will have strong administrative, numeracy and IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint), the ability to work both in a team and to your own initiative, and you will have an excellent command of the English language (written and verbal). Fluency in Spanish would be an advantage but is not essential.
