What you'll be doing
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, creative and sales-focused Brand Manager to join the Hodder & Stoughton Marketing department in a new role, specialising in management of sales across the Hodderscape imprint with a focus on sales of special editions and platform management of bestselling authors.
This role, reporting into the Creative & Marketing directorate, has been created to manage, develop and significantly grow the reach and commercial impact of the Hodderscape imprint at Hodder & Stoughton, working with key stakeholders across Marketing, Editorial and Design to run our special editions business via specialist retail and D2C.
This role will assume responsibility for the project management of Hodderscape special editions via specialist retailers, working in tandem with the acquiring editor for each title as well as the author to ensure that every edition runs to schedule, high specification and to manage the important relationships with external retailers and suppliers of special editions. This will involve close work with Design and Marketing to ensure we are best showcasing and launching every edition with a view to maximising sales and revenue.
This role will also plan, launch and run the new Hodderscape D2C platform, to include the D2C efforts for key genre-based authors at Hodder. Key success factors of this role will be significant revenue to the Hodder & Stoughton business via customer acquisition, retention and loyalty. Working alongside lead marketers across the Marketing department, you will be responsible for optimising the online sales platforms for Hodderscape's biggest authors.
