Editorial Director/Publisher

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for managing and growing Headline’s thriving history and serious narrative non-fiction list. You will take over direct responsibility for a diverse, hard-hitting and thought-provoking stable of bestselling authors including Alex von Tunzelman, Al Murray, Leo Houlding, James Barr, the We have Ways podcast team and the Imperial War Museum. Reporting to the Publishing Director, you will have strategic responsibility for your genres and the buying power to rapidly expand your list.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced commissioner/publisher with an impeccable network of contacts who is motivated by success, has a reputation for driving their books on to the bestseller lists, and is capable of generating ideas of their own as well as attracting the very best agent submissions.
