An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and creative Marketing Manager to join the Hachette Children’s Group Marketing team.

Hachette Children’s Group (HCG) is one of the largest children’s publishers in the UK, with an excellent track record in creating bestselling and award-winning books for children of all ages, with baby and pre-school books, picture books, gift, fiction, non-fiction, series fiction, books for the school and library market and licensed publishing.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll report to the Head of Marketing, planning and delivering campaigns across our 0 - younger middle grade list, ranging from established brands to debut launches. Our bestselling and rising star talent in this area includes Alex T Smith, Francesca Simon, Dermot O’Leary, Nick East, Claire Powell, Kes Gray, Jim Field, Lauren Child and Rachel Bright, to name but a few.

We also publish books for schools on our Franklin Watts and Wayland list, and this role will include specific responsibility for overseeing marketing to support this list.

Who we’re looking for

The successful candidate will have substantial marketing experience, ideally within the children’s book industry. Demonstrable creative ability is vital, married with commercial awareness and a firm focus on ROI. You should be digitally savvy with a flair for harnessing social media, an excellent copywriter, confident project manager and first-rate communicator. Resourceful and motivated, you will be buzzing with ideas and the knowledge of how to translate them into action, and juggle multiple projects with initiative and efficiency.
