Publicity Manager/Senior Publicity Manager (12 month FTC)

What you’ll be doing

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing creative and results-driven publicity campaigns across all the Octopus imprints.

The list you will be working on will cover a wide range of non-fiction, so you will have responsibility for titles across all genres from cookery to celebrity, wellness to sport. You will be expected to manage individual title budgets, ensuring that department costs are kept within the allocated spend. You will be a pro-active member of the team setting up journalist meetings and attending festival pitches. You will liaise closely with editorial, sales and marketing to deliver cohesive campaigns which drive sales.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced publicist with a proven track record of delivering outstanding campaigns. You will have a passion for Non-fiction publishing with a proven track record of planning and implementing high profile, strategic campaigns alongside exceptional author care. Your excellent communication skills and established media contacts will enable you to hit the ground running as a senior member of our team.

Within Octopus we publish across an array of subjects including food and drink, wellness, interiors, health, memoirs and more.
