Senior Editor, Licensing & IP

Hachette Children’s Group is home to many bestselling and award-winning authors, and we own Enid Blyton Entertainment.  We have an excellent track record in building licensed properties into stellar publishing successes and we work with a range of top licensors including Pokemon, DreamWorks, Hasbro and BBC.  We also have a rapidly expanding programme of colour IP titles.

What you’ll be doing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and talented Senior Editor to join our licensing and IP Creation team. 

You will work on a range of top brand licenses and contribute to our successful programme of colour IP projects.

Reporting to the Publishing Director, the successful candidate will manage a range of books including fiction, sticker activity and novelty formats across our portfolio of licensed properties & IP.   You will contribute ideas to grow the list, develop relationships with licensors, and manage titles from acquisition to production.

Who we’re looking for

Applicants should have proven experience of licensed publishing.They should be highly creative, organised and unflappable. Good knowledge of the children’s licensing world and book market is vital, and a keen interest in trends is desirable.
