Publicity Co-ordinator

Hardie Grant is looking to recruit a Publicity Co-ordinator to work across all its imprints, including Quadrille. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and collaborative team, across a range of awarding-winning titles and authors.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, organised and energetic professional, with an enthusiasm for the industry and an ambition to pursue a career in Publicity. You will be required to deliver first rate client care, have a passion for working with a team that delivers innovative book campaigns, and look to learn and acquire knowledge of the media landscape. You will be supporting a friendly close-knit team but you will also be able to work independently.

Reporting to the Publicity Director, the key responsibilities will include:

  • Working collaboratively with the Publicity team to develop seasonal and subject-driven campaigns throughout the year; driving visibility of our books within the media and towards the consumer.
  • Act as first point of contact for incoming press enquiries and liaise with media in a professional manner as well as maintain media relationships across print, broadcast, online and digital.
  • Deliver a high level of author care as well as assist with the implementation of events, author tours and press days.
  • Support the team by improving and maintaining databases and systems, preparing materials and presentations for meetings and campaigns, providing company updates and coordinating award submissions.

The role will also work closely with the Publishing, Sales and Marketing teams, providing excellent opportunities for collaboration and idea generation across the business.

We are interested in hearing from candidates with some knowledge or experience in the industry as well as talented individuals who are looking for a step into book publicity. We are offering a competitive package for this role.
