Head of Copy

Have you a passion for language learning and experience of writing copy for product, brand and marketing, and are you seeking a new challenge? The role will be hybrid, allowing 3 days from home and 2 in the company's central London office.

As Head of Copy you will work across marketing, product and localisation to shape the company's tonal and brand identity, informing how they communicate with prospects and language learners across every touchpoint, at all stages in their journey. You will work closely with teams across the business to design, develop and build a consistent brand experience that engages and inspires customers and language learners. The Head of Copy will lead a small but growing team to develop copy in a wide variety of formats for use across marketing, social, brand advertising and product, including the naming of new products/features and refining existing user flows. You will work on projects across the entire learner lifecycle, from pre-acquisition to free trial and loyal learner. You'll partner with colleagues to find solutions to communication challenges, and you will act as the voice for copy and help to develop the right strategy for the company's brand and language learners.

The ideal Head of Copy will have excellent experience writing copy for product, brand and marketing, as well as the ability to create impactful, concise and clear messaging that informs, engages and helps learners effortlessly navigate through their learning journey. You will have experience in creating copy across web and mobile UX, marketing, advertising and brand, that works cross-platform and cross-device. With strong leadership skills you will be confident leading and developing a team. An interest in Education, EdTech, language learning, or having language skills yourself, will be a great advantage.
