Head of Finance & Operations

Our client, a small specialist not-for-profit publisher based in Central London is looking to hire a Head of Finance & Operations. We are looking for a qualified accountant with experience in reporting into the board and producing monthly accounts, filing annual accounts and providing budgets, P&Ls and analysis over company performance.

You will have a track record of delivering accurate accounts along with operational guidance and
leadership. Whilst heading up the finance and operations for the business you will also be able to demonstrate the ability to be hands on and facilitate many transactions. The role reports into the CEO and will support them in running the business. You will have responsibility of managing 2 people. You will also be responsible for working with the auditors and managing an investment portfolio so experience with this would also be advantageous. Being a not-for-profit organisation, we would also be really interested in experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector, though this is not essential.

Key skills required:

·Accountancy qualification
·Experience in financial reporting
·Knowledge of accountancy software packages - SAGE would be advantageous
·Self-motivated
·People Management and Leadership skills
·Excellent communication skills
·Strong analytical skills
