Head of Marketing

A B2B provider of conferences, digital subscriptions and training resources in central London is looking for a Head of Marketing to implement the marketing strategy and manage and develop a team of 5. Your key focus will be improving the lead generation process, reducing the cost of subscriber acquisition by supporting the sales team and optimising marketing activities to secure delegate bookings. The ideal candidate will be very digitally savvy and come from a B2B background, and ideally with event marketing experience. 

This is an excellent opportunity to join this well-known training and content provider for schools professionals and as a key member of the senior management team, you will be an important contributor to commercial strategy and to the wider growth of the business. 


Key duties:
•    Set and manage the marketing budget and be accountable for overall ROI
•    Oversee the strategy for web, social media, email and content marketing 
•    Oversee the lead-gen strategy and implementation and use feedback from the sales team to increase lead quality
•    Measure and report on the performance of campaigns against ROI and KPIs
•    Line manage and mentor a team of 5 
•    Refine and develop marketing methods and brainstorm growth strategies 


Experience / skills required:
•    Proven senior level B2B digital marketing experience 
•    Proven experience implementing multi-channel lead-gen strategies that support the sales funnel
•    Some event marketing experience preferred
•    Demonstrable success setting up and optimising Google Adwords and paid social campaigns 
•    Knowledge of the latest digital marketing trends and best practices 
•    Highly data-driven and systems-savvy
•    Experience line managing and developing a team


Salary: £45-50K DOE + £5K bonus potential
