Head of Marketing Data and Analytics

 

A unique opportunity has arisen to join a leading academic publisher in Central London as their next Head of Marketing Data & Analytics. This is a senior level Marketing role that offers an excellent salary and benefits package, and the chance to make a great impact on this very successful publishing organisation.

 

The Head of Marketing Data & Analytics has an important and varied remit, where they will lead the Marketing Data & Analytics Team which provides customer and product data, customer insight and marketing analytics for the overall business. The team is based both in the UK and India. As Head of Marketing Data & Analytics responsibilities will include (amongst others):

  • leading on the organisation's global marketing and product data strategy
  • managing resourcing for the team, as well as team development & performance (in the UK & India)
  • being the business lead for data architecture and marketing technology projects
  • leading on the global data acquisition and data management strategy

 

You will have overall responsibility for leading on campaign and data analytics, including analysing and interpreting data; understanding customer behaviour and developing customer segmentation strategy; making evidence-based recommendations; and delivering reports and presentations in accessible ways to business stakeholders to help meet business goals. You will work in close collaboration with the marketing services campaign team and the wider marketing department to ensure that the data and analytics strategy is aligned with the needs of the overall business.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a solutions-focused individual with a strategic mindset, a real passion for innovation, and a demonstrable track record in leading marketing data and analytics plans. The ability to inspire and motivate others, and develop a team is essential. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills, along with strong project management skills and the ability to understand complex IT and Marketing systems and how they interact with each other.
