Head of Product Research, ELT

A global Educational publisher of English Language Teaching (ELT) materials has an exciting opening for a Head of Product Research! The company, based in Oxford, offer a competitive salary package (with excellent benefits!), and flexible, hybrid working with the successful candidate required to spend 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

As Head of Product Research you'll lead on the strategy and implementation of global customer-focused product research conducted by research experts globally. Working closely and collaboratively cross-functionally, with Product and Marketing for instance, responsibilities will include (amongst others):

  • Create the strategy and plan for customer-focused product research
  • Ensure global and regional research needs are being met, and research outputs are in an appropriate format to feed into product strategy and development
  • Ensure consistency of research methodologies and data analysis
  • Lead the research team to manage the overall product research project pipeline
  • Lead and manage the approach to competitor analysis
  • Recruit, motivate, appraise and develop the team
  • Manage the research budget

The ideal Head of Product Research will have solid experience in gathering and analysing customer insights and requirements, with the ability to manage international/remote teams. You'll be adept at managing qualitative and quantitative customer-focused market research to inform product development cycles and able to use analytical concepts and techniques and analyse data to deliver actionable insights to internal customers. Along with strong people management, project management and prioritisation skills, you'll also possess excellent communication and influencing skills for both internal and external collaboration.
