A globally recognised brand and leading international publishing company has an exciting new role of Head of Publishing Operations. This position will offer a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in print book production / publishing operations. The company offer an excellent salary and benefits package, and hybrid working, requiring 3 days per week in their Wiltshire office.
As Head of Publishing Operations your main remit will be: print production, maintaining the office, sales and fulfilment processes, day-to-day running of the business and developing the strategy for continuing growth. The role offers a variety of tasks and hands-on responsibilities, including (but not limited to):
- Leading a close-knit friendly team of 4 people to deliver titles and marketing material
- Assisting with budget planning where required
- Planning workloads to ensure delivery and resources are used in a balanced, effective way
- Meeting regularly with individuals and the team, checking successful progress is maintained, providing guidance on troubleshooting as required
- Managing the office facilities at the company offices
- Ensuring invoices are cleared for payment promptly
The successful Head of Publishing Operations will be a manager with the ability to develop and inspire each individual team member and the whole team to achieve; you will have excellent experience of managing print book production processes or print publishing operations, and top-notch communication skills. A team player with a commercial mindset, the Head of Publishing Operations will be someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and a collaborative approach.
